014: Live Your Un-Lived Life with Mary Smith

In this episode, I interview, Mary Smith.

In this episode, I interview, Mary Smith.

Biography:

Mary Smith is an advocate for authentic change and personal transformation. A photographer, wife, dedicated mother of four sons and grandmother, Mary is certainly no stranger to adversity. Breaking free from the bonds of a cult; leaving behind her parents, siblings, friends and every aspect of life as she knew it, Mary had to learn to live a new life. A transformation occurred whilst hiking the Camino de Santiago; a letting-go of the past and learning to forgive. Mary experienced the power that comes with forgiveness, continued to step into challenges and began to really live her unlived life. Step-by-step Mary began living outside of her comfort zone, not just for herself, but also for the benefit of others. As opportunities open up to Mary she is now ready to accept the challenge of new and exciting prospects with confidence. Mary’s goal is to inspire others to take action in their lives - to overcome whatever is holding them back and to find their full potential. Mary believes that it is not what happens to us that is so important, but how we respond to those things that happen to us. Live your Un-Lived Life!

My Takeaways:

In this episode, Mary, and I discussed the moment she found forgiveness and how she’s taken that moment in her life as the springboard to living a happier, and fuller life. One of her practices is trail running as it gives her that time alone to think and process; much like meditation. Finally, Mary’s journaling exercise is unique. She journals about her old self and her new self that way she sees the growth and can form goals to move towards which ultimately enable her to continually up rev her life.

I brought up the movie The Brother’s Bloom which is one of my top ten favorites.

Those are my key takeaways. What are yours? Join us on Facebook or Twitter, share your thoughts and ideas. Thanks for listening and get out there and discover the best version of you!
