020: Change Brings Opportunity with Tom Schwab

In this episode, I interview, Tom Schwab.

Biography:

Tom Schwab knows how to build an online business. Marketing at its heart is starting a conversation with someone who could be an ideal customer. Tom helps small business owners, entrepreneurs and soloprenuers get featured on leading podcasts their prospects are already listening to. Then he shows them how to turn listeners into customers

My Takeaways:

This episode is loaded with value bombs! As you know by the title of the show, we discuss how change brings opportunity. Taking a step back though, we cover Tom’s career from being a nuclear engineer, going into the Fortune 500 corporate world, to his entrepreneurial business Interview Valet. We touch on job security, where he has a great quote: “your job security comes from the number of people you are adding value to”. Another topic we discuss is the importance of finding your tribe, and not attempting to please every single person on this planet. After the show, this reminded me of the essay 1,000 True Fans by Kevin Kelly. Finally, another topic was what Tom called the “Zone of Genius”. Listening to this podcast, Tom has a lot of wisdom and it’s no wonder why he is doing what he is doing today with Interview Valet. There’s a ton of high-value content in this episode; sit back, grab a pen and paper, and get ready to take action!

In this podcast, Tom mentions a books that has come up once before on the podcast.
