In this episode, I interview, Russell Whitney.
Russell Whitney is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and a recognized worldwide leader in the business, real estate investment, and financial training fields. He has prospered in both business and real estate and eventually used his knowledge and experience to help others do the same. Over the past 15 years, he has traveled the world speaking to audiences as large as 10,000, at one time to a fully packed arena. He has spoken alongside luminaries like Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Anthony Robbins, and George Foreman, always spreading his message of how to take immediate action to achieve financial goals and dreams by following his easy-to-follow, step-by-step process. It was during that time he met his success coach, mentor, and eventual business partner, Kevin Harrington, who has accumulated over $4 billion in sales and is one of the original Sharks on “Shark Tank.” In fact, Russell and Kevin are in the process of co-authoring a book, to be released soon. It has not always been easy, Russell has experienced both great wealth and great poverty. During the downturn in ‘08 - ‘12, Russell experienced the very bottom, having lost everything, including himself. He became addicted to drugs and was begging on the streets for enough money to get that next high. His drug dealer told Russell he was wasting his life and refused to sell him drugs. That was a wakeup call, and from there, Russell went to rehab. A year later Russell emerged clean and has remained so ever since. He has built back his wealth, health and life going from $0 to a multi-millionaire in just 3 years. Russell continues to grow his financial and personal freedom. You can find him speaking at events all across the country, giving his students the tools, guidance, and knowledge they need to be wildly successful in their fields.
This episode was all about taking massive action. Russell took us on a journey of going from rags to riches to rags and back to riches on this powerful episode. We discuss guilt, shame, and procrastination and how Russell has developed routines and has people in his corner cheering him on.
