In this episode, I interview, Colin Clapp.
Colin Clapp is a Dad, partner, coach, internet marketer, speaker and an aging digital nomad! He’s the host of the Parenting, Passports and Profits podcast and the family ‘techie’. He’s committed to lifelong learning, so loves books, podcasts, videos and having way too many tabs open in his browser. When he’s not enjoying daddy-daughter days, family time or some kind of personal development, he gets excited by a day on a snowboard. The rest of the time, you’ll find him chilling out with the BBC Sport website!
Minimalism. While many topics are covered in this and how Colin and his family had to pivot multiple times, the one thing that really struck out to me was how he described living out of a suitcase and backpack, all while traveling the world with his family, homeschooling, starting businesses, and growing both personally as well as a family. This stood out to me as so many people struggle with doing these activities when they have other things (e.g. house with multiple rooms, vehicles, etc.). It’s obvious that it’s a challenge and not necessarily right for everyone, minimalism that is, however, it is those things that you own that end up owning you - remember what Colin says, freeing up 10 minutes per day saves you a work-week a year.
10*365 = 3650 minutes / 60 hours = 60+ hours per year in savings
