018: Balance & Letting Go with Davina Donovan

This week, I interview, Davina Donovan.

Biography:

Davina Donovan is a registered psychologist and yoga teacher based in Brisbane, Australia. Davina runs a solo private psychology, yoga and mindfulness practice. She has vast experience working with people of all ages, particularly children and young people, to manage and cope with varying emotional and psychological disorders. Davina has a special interest in working with those affected by bullying, suicide and trauma. Her aim in life is to help every individual to lead the most authentic existence they can- she does this by example. Davina hasn't always lived authentically - pushed and pulled in varying directions, Davina thought that happiness came from succeeding at everyone else's expectations and tasks. Until she had an intense awaking experience and realized that there is so much more to life. Davina practices her passion every day and lives her own life by the values of her business: truth, humility, compassion and authenticity.

My Takeaways:

The three key items that I took away were the lesson about letting go, and there is no right or wrong way to go about living your life. Then the most important lesson I believe was that you need to ensure that you have balance in your life.
